⏳ Study Group Timer

⏳ Free Study Group Timer — Synced Pomodoro for Groups

Every study-branded synced timer worth finding requires an account before you can even join a session, and most bolt on avatars or leaderboards on top. This is the opposite: pick focus/break lengths, share one link, and everyone who opens it sees the exact same countdown — because the sync is just math (everyone computes the current phase from the same fixed start time), not a live connection you have to sign into. No account, no video, no gamification — just the timer, a simple list of who's studying with you right now, and optional shared music and chat if your group wants that "working together" feeling (both hidden by default behind the Focused checkbox).

Frequently Asked Questions

How does everyone stay in sync without video or an account?

A session is just a start time plus work/break lengths. Every device computes the current phase and time remaining from that same fixed start time — the math itself keeps everyone in sync, not a live connection, so there's nothing to log into.

Can the timer be paused or reset once it starts?

Not in this version — a session runs on its fixed schedule from creation. Pausing would mean deciding whose pause wins and re-syncing everyone, which is exactly the kind of complexity this tool is deliberately built without. Need a fresh start? Create a new session.

Is there video or a leaderboard?

No video and no gamification — those stay out entirely. There is an optional chat and shared ambient music, both hidden by default (see the Focused checkbox) so the tool stays a lean, distraction-free timer unless you actively want them.

What does the "Focused" checkbox do?

Checked (the default), it hides the chat panel — the one part of this tool that genuinely demands attention and replies. Uncheck it to reveal chat. The shared music picker and each person's track stay visible either way, since seeing what others are listening to is passive, glanceable, and doesn't pull focus the way a conversation does.

How does the shared music work — are we actually hearing the same audio?

Not literally in sync — each device plays its own local copy of whatever track is picked, starting from whenever that device pressed play, not a shared timestamp. What's shared is the choice: you can see what track anyone else in the session is playing next to their name, and tap it to play the same one yourself.

How long does a session stay available?

A few days, then it's automatically cleaned up — this is meant for one study session, not a permanent room. Create a new link each time.
