🗓️ Create an Availability Poll
Pick dates, share one link — everyone marks their own free hours, best time shows automatically.
How Availability Polls Work
Finding a meeting time across a distributed team is hard when everyone assumes different working hours. An availability poll flips the usual approach: instead of one person guessing everyone else's free time, each participant marks their own real availability, in their own local timezone, on a shared link.
Behind the scenes, each candidate date is resolved once to a fixed point in time. Every participant's grid — no matter their timezone — is just a local view of those same windows, so the alignment count is always correct regardless of who's where.
Once enough people have responded, the poll highlights the single hour with the most people available, and you can add it straight to Google Calendar.
There's no sign-in and no list of "your polls" anywhere on the site — a poll only exists at the link it was created with, so save or bookmark that link. Each poll's own page shows exactly how many days it has left before it's automatically cleaned up (kept for a while past its last candidate date, then removed).
Align is part of Tools HQ's free small group planning toolkit, alongside Gather and Announce — find a time, send the invite, and share it, all without creating an account. 100% secure and private: no data is ever collected or stored on our servers, no sign up, no login, no email required for anyone.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is Align really free, and do participants need an account?
Yes — creating a poll and responding to one are both free, with no account, login, or email required for anyone, organizer or participant.
How does Align handle participants in different timezones?
Each candidate date is resolved once to a fixed point in time. Every participant then marks their own availability in their own local hours, and the poll lines everyone's responses up correctly behind the scenes — no one has to convert times manually.
Can I change my response after submitting it?
Yes — return using the same personal link and update your marked hours; it replaces your previous response rather than adding a duplicate.
How long does a poll stay available?
A poll's own page shows exactly how many days it has left — it's kept for a while past its last candidate date, then automatically cleaned up. There's no dashboard of "your polls," so save or bookmark the link.
Is there a limit on how many people can respond?
Yes, a small cap per poll, mainly to keep the results heatmap fast to compute — well past that limit isn't the intended use case for this tool.
Is any of this data collected or stored elsewhere?
No — a poll only exists at the link it was created with. There's no account system and nothing is shared beyond that link.
