⬛ Free QR Code Generator — No Signup, No Expiring Codes

Plenty of "free" QR code generators quietly generate a tracking/redirect link instead of encoding your actual URL — which means the code stops working the moment they decide to start charging you, or just shut the service down. This one encodes your text directly, entirely in your browser: no account, no tracking redirect, no expiration, ever. It also includes features other generators charge for — an embedded logo, custom colors and gradients, rounded dot/eye styles, and WiFi, contact card, email, SMS, and phone QR types, downloadable as PNG or scalable SVG.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do these QR codes expire, or track scans?

No — this generates a real "static" QR code that encodes your text directly. It never expires, and there's no tracking server in the middle recording who scanned it.

Is anything I type sent to a server?

No — the QR code is generated entirely in your browser. Nothing you type here is ever sent anywhere.

Can I use my own colors and still have it scan reliably?

Yes, within reason — keep the code color noticeably darker than the background. Very low-contrast combinations can fail to scan on some cameras, so the tool defaults to plain black-on-white and lets you preview any custom color before downloading.

What does the error-correction level do?

It controls how much of the code can be damaged, dirty, or obscured (e.g. by a logo placed on top) and still scan. Higher levels add more redundancy at the cost of a denser-looking code — Medium is a good default for most uses.

Can I add my own logo to a QR code for free?

Yes — upload an image in the Style panel and it's placed in the center of the code at no cost. Error correction is automatically raised to High whenever a logo is set, since covering part of the code always means erasing some of the underlying data, and only the highest level reliably survives that.

Can I make a WiFi, contact card, or SMS QR code?

Yes — switch the type to WiFi, Contact Card (vCard), Email, SMS, or Phone Number and fill in its fields; the generator builds the correct standard payload so scanning it auto-joins the network, saves the contact, or opens a pre-filled message, all free with no signup.
